This is the blog of the Waiwhetu / Lower Hutt Peace Group.

The group was established in the early 1980s. We hold public meetings on peace issues regularly, usually every two months, at

Waiwhetu Uniting Church, (Foyer)
6 Trafalgar Street,
Waiwhetu (corner of Grenville St. and Trafalgar St.),
Lower Hutt
Aotearoa / New Zealand.

The current committee members are Theo Fink, Margaret Aitken and Mike Barton.

Theo, the current chair, can be reached on 04 938 5595

Should you want a paid membership. This lasts one year and is $20 a household. The fee helps us defray costs for venue hire for our meetings. Interested? Then send your details to the group using this contact form.

Thanks very much for the info of your group. I think constantly of our dear late friend, Arthur Quinn, who was such a loyal member of the Peace Council for many years. They don’t make them like Arthur any more. I think of him a lot. I truly miss him.

But your good work is a credit to him and yourselves. We shall continue to work together to eliminate the weapons which could end all life on this earth. We shall continue to spread the word of the very real threat which faces every living thing on our beautiful planet.

    Good luck

    Barney Richards
