Radio New Zealand International made it to West Papua.

November 9, 2015
West Papua has been a theme that we have carried through several meetings. Theo and Mike from the Peace Group have been in contact with Jonny Blades, from Radio New Zealand International (RNZI) and the following, a little belatedly, note is from Jonny.

In short Indonesia has been extremely reluctant to grant visas to journalists. Jonny and a colleague applied and were successful. This is his email to us.

“Just a quick message to say Hi and give you the heads up about my Insight programme about West Papua tomorrow (Sunday) morning after the news at 8 o’clock on RNZ 101.3FM.
There’s a whole series of interviews and packages that I’ve already broadcast/published. But the big one is tomorrow, for which I will send you the link because it comes with an article, photographs and some interviews on video.
Also, here’s a wee video report we put out yesterday:
Please pass it on to friends and family who may be interested.
Hope you’re well.
